ArcSoft TotalMedia Backup & Record is a powerful yet easy to use solution that includes a wide range of burning and backup features with an unsurpassed level of usability. This incredible program allows you to make basic archival discs or restore documents, burn custom audio CDs or rip tracks with CDDB support, or create DVD movies from files on your hard drive. Moreover, the application features a very simple and intuitive user interface which does not need any technical knowledge to be operated and makes this task a breeze. What is more, the utility enables you to schedule automatic full or incremental backups of your your photos, videos, email, etc. You can also append data to previously burned discs, make exact copies of existing discs, make bootable CDs and DVDs, and quickly format and burn DVD-R/RW discs. As regards music, you also can make custom audio CDs for your car or home disc player, create Jukebox CDs using MP3, WMA, and WAV files, and much more. In addition to this, the program enables you to create DVD discs from unprotected sources, create and burn images of CDs and DVDs for future disc burning and archival purposes, and easily erase rewritable discs.
  • Easy to use. Simple and intuitive user interface. Great value for its price.

You are right Brian, Arcsoft backup has some serious bugs and neither customer service nor their own forum will own up to it. I called their customer service to report that my backups would freeze after running all night -- just freeze no recovery, except to kill the program and lose my many hours of backup.. Cust Serv told me that is not a bug -- if I have included certain system files that Arcsoft cannot copy -- for example, if I tried to backup all of C -- the agent said,in effect, there is no way in software to prevent a freeze! Now I have many Arcsoft backup folders with .nbz files but no .nbp files. I don't recall losing those many backups so this may be another bug. Here is the same issue discussed on their forum (Arcsoft refuses to answer the users questions about the problem):

Judge for yourself -- I suggest you obtain another backup program. Sorry about what you may have lost. But if you do find a solution, please post here and in the forum, there are many users needing an answer.

I received ArcSoft TotalMedia BackUp & Record version 1.5.1.12 with the purchased of an external hard drive. I used it to back up all my files so that I could wipe and reinstall Windows XP. The software created several 2BG+ file called .NBZ files, okay. I wipe and reinstalled and go to RESTORE. the software only restores from a .NBP file, now I can't access my data. I try to get e-mail support, and I can't because the ArcSoft site has a major bug. Phone support is $10.00??? in the forum's I find many people with the same issue and NO SOLUTIONS. I REGRET GETTING INVOLVED WITH ARCSOFT... you may too.
